Direct oceanfront resort is just across from the beachside shopping center – Bellair Plaza, and also is walking distance from several good area restaurants.
Built in 1971, this 315-room resort, sitting on over 3 acres of oceanfront with 442′ on the Atlantic, is the latest and longest (still going) condo-hotel conversion in Daytona area.
It is one of the biggest condo-hotels in the area after Ocean Walk Wyndham Resort with nearly 600 rooms, and The Plaza Resort & Spa with 323 rooms.
Extensive multimillion-dollar renovation completed in 2007, resulted in a fine convention and resort facility. A lot of marble, glass and mirrors make it quite impressive.
The resort offers studios and one-bedroom units with kitchens. The five-story wing has oceanfront units, and city-view units. The Tower above the garage offers 4 direct oceanfront units on each floor, plus 9 units on the South side and 9 units on the north side, all of those offering the view of the ocean. Balconies for units in the tower except for direct oceanfront, are very narrow (French balcony).
Two outdoor Olympic size heated pools, a kids pool, one indoor pool, dine and sip on a tropical drink at the pool bar. The kids can have a blast in the interactive kiddy pool with waterfalls.
The fitness center has an indoor heated pool, 2 Jacuzzi, sauna room, and exercise room. Flexible meeting space can accommodate up to 900 guests.
Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center has a restaurant – Reflections, and there is a gift shop in the lobby.
Maintenance fee is $450 a month, pets are not allowed.
As of July 17, 2012 Trip Advisor ranked it 31 out of 105 Daytona Area hotels. This is pretty good. It is much better than in 2009. Guest for the most part like it. It affects their occupancy, which is significantly higher now.
