One cannot imagine a real estate agent who works harder than Morgan Knull. His encyclopedic knowledge of the DC market is unparalleled. He found me a great condo at a great price and pushed everyone to move the sometimes languid process along. If DC real estate is a battle for best-offers and best-finds, Morgan is a ‘five-star’ general on the offensive!
My wife and I have purchased two properties from Morgan Knull (one in D.C. and one in Virginia) and would recommend him to pretty much anyone looking for anything within the Washington DC Area. Anytime I have ever had a real-estate question he thoroughly investigates prior to response. Referred to by many up on Capitol Hill as the scientist I believe this reflects his dedication and diligence of his work.
Morgan recently helped me purchase my first condo and I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, patient and kind agent.
Being a first time buyer, I was pretty much ALL questions, which meant I called him several times a day and not once, in all of the time I worked with Morgan, did I get sent to his voice mail.
During the negotiation process I was told by the sellers agent and the mortgage company that I got very lucky with Morgan as he is an extremely knowledgeable agent who had my best interest at heart. After hearing that, I felt comfortable enough to put my trust in him completely.
I highly recommend Morgan for his knowledge, professionalism and the sense of security you will feel in his extremely capable hands.
Morgan and his team are miracle workers. When I came to him all I knew was that I wanted an open one bedroom that flowed and allowed large dogs. If I could get more and still in a transitional neighborhood, all the better. I had a very limited budget, very little to put down and the bottom line was if the mortgage payment and all that goes with it wasn’t much more than what I was already paying in rent, a tall and tough order. Morgan not only found me a great 3 bedroom, 2 bath row house in the up and coming Edgewood neighborhood, but at a phenomenal price. The house may need a little love, but the bones are solid and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Morgan for making homeownership possible for this single budget challenged woman!
Morgan made my year and a half journey to find my home an enjoyable experience. He exhibits exceptional professionalism, enduring patience and an added bonus, an excellent sense of humor!
Am exteremely impressed with Morgan. I have bought and sold many houses – but have never had a Realtor that took such great care in negotiating a deal! We had some issues with the appriasal and Morgan worked very hard pulling data together and research to counter. I would highly reccomend Morgan to anyone in the DC area
With Morgan you always feel that you have a tenacious advocate on your side. He takes the time to really understand what your goals are and adopts a strategy to meet those goals. His knowledge of the real estate market, his negotiating skills, and his personal integrity are a real treasure.
Morgan has it all: no pressure, thoughtful and quick responses, works with your schedule, expert analysis, incredibly supportive throughout the entire home buying and selling process, and surrounds himself with a top-notch team. Morgan guided me through both the purchase and sale of a home. The purchase was complicated, and required knowledge of creative financing options and negotiating savvy. Morgan saved the day by creating a win-win environment that satisfied both the buyer and seller and brought everything to a happy conclusion. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else, and will always turn to Morgan for any future purchase/sale. You really will be in great hands with Morgan!
Morgan guided us through the renovation and sale of a DC property and the purchase of a MD property in 2011. He absolutely knows his market, gave us expert advice, and made us comfortable with our decisions every step of the way. With Morgan’s guidance, we negotiated a fantastic deal on our new home, well below what I was originally thinking of offering!
Morgan is great! He was recommended by a co-worker, and I will certainly recommend him to others. With his help, I closed on my first house 7/15/2011. As I began the hunt for my first house, Morgan spent a lot of time on the phone talking through the process and really making sure I was well educated. As I found places online that I was interested in, I discussed them with Morgan and was very impressed by his familiarity not just with neighborhoods but with specific condo buildings and houses. He definitely helped me stay focused and not waste my time on places that weren’t going to work for me. I actually found the house that I knew I was going to buy while Morgan was on vacation (Memorial Day weekend is supposed to be slow for real estate). I emailed him approximately 17 million times over three days, and he replied to each email. He also went with me to view the house the day after he returned, despite his jet lag (he had been in Japan). Morgan was incredibly helpful in guiding me through making the offer and negotiating the price. As a first time buyer, I needed a Realtor who was patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. Morgan was all of these and more. He also was incredibly helpful in referring me to loan officers, setting up the home inspection, and working with the closing company. I would absolutely trust any professional that Morgan recommends. When the time comes to sell this house and buy another, I look forward to working with Morgan again.
I had an outstanding experience with Morgan and could not have asked for a better realtor! His breadth of knowledge within the DC Metro Region was very expansive and he had the patience of a saint. He referred me to the best loan program I could find and supported me through any and all obstacles I encountered while purchasing a foreclosed property and working with a new loan program. I whole heartedly recommend him to my family and friends. Liz and Andre Happy New Home Owners
Morgan recently sold our home and I would be happy to recommend him to anyone and everyone. He is unbelievably responsive and ‘always seems to be working’. I called him late into the evening a couple times and he answered right away. He was always willing to answer even the most mundane questions and was very straight forward and honest. If you are looking for a responsive straight shooter with tons of experience, Morgan is your man. Thank you Morgan for a great experience.
Simply put, Morgan Knull is the best. I wish I could add an extra star to my review — he deserves it. Morgan has represented me both as a buyer’s and seller’s agent, and is excellent at both.
As a buyer’s agent, he provided me with extensive background information about the housing market (both national and local), lots of articles from real estate blogs and other industry sources, happily accompanied us on MANY house-hunting trips (often at odd hours), and kept at it for several months until we found our dream place. When it came time to negotiate the terms of the purchase, Morgan had our back — he stayed on top of the other agent, often correcting paperwork and clarifying vague points. He is an excellent advocate for either an experienced or novice homebuyer.
Morgan proved to be just as excellent when he recently represented us for the sale of our townhouse. He made many helpful staging recommendations, came to the house many, many times to help us get ready to put the house on the market, and was always available via phone or email (and I mean always — I’m not sure the man sleeps!). Once our place was listed, Morgan created gorgeous marketing pieces (including hiring a professional photographer to shoot the house), tirelessly hosted open houses, coordinated showings, and superbly negotiated our closing deal (with a slightly difficult buyer). In a down market, we were able to sell our house for a profit only a few weeks after it was listed.
Lastly, not only is Morgan extremely organized and competent, he’s fun to be around. I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with Morgan, and would work with him again in a heartbeat.
Morgan Knull is excellent agent who is very responsive and hard working. I have bought a condo and sold three condos having Morgan as my agent. I have referred Morgan to all my friends and everyone is happy with his great service and ability to move a property and market appropriately to the DC area market.
Morgan is simply great. We are first-time home buyers who know the area fairly well but aren’t familiar with the ins and outs of DC real estate. On our first trip out, Morgan took me to see 8 houses that ranged from move-in-ready at the top of our budget to significant fixer-uppers at the bottom, and everything in between. I felt like I got a great sense of the market. Throughout the process, Morgan was accessible at all hours (including 10pm on a Sunday – amazing!), patient, and clear and responsive to our questions. He never made us feel pressured. He dealt seamlessly with our mortgage broker and a somewhat difficult agency on the seller’s side. He advised us to put in a bid that included a quick closing because he sensed that the seller was itching to get out, and he was right. We were able to negotiate a price that we felt really good about. Thanks, Morgan!
I used Morgan Knull to both buy and sell my condo. His knowledge and guidance made both experiences easy and enjoyable. For anyone looking for a realtor in the DC area I strongly recommend using Morgan Knull.
Morgan is a very proactive teammate, who guided this out-of-town seller through all of the details of a Washington, D.C. sale. He uses technology to facilitate document exchange and execution and was very proactive in arranging staging and needed repairs and upgrades. He knew the other brokers who represented the multiple offerors. With his help, my sale closed for full asking price less than a month after listing. And, no, the asking price was not low ball.
Morgan is extremely capable. He has worked with us now on two purchases, and in both cases he was always very responsive, knowledgeable and patient. I would not hesitate to recommend Morgan to anyone looking to buy or sell in the Washington, DC area.
Morgan has been absolutely great on the sale of my home! We started off in discussions, and now just listed the house. He is always responsive and knows what is going on in DC. Also, explaining the situation with details helps me, since I work full time at the Pentagon and have to balance work and selling. I highly recommend Morgan to anyone moving or selling in the greater Washington DC/VA/MD region.
Morgan helped me to buy my first home and later helped my husband and I to sell our home. He is my “realtor for life.” He has business acumen and provides great customer service and honesty to sail through a big purchase. He has great situational awareness in DC and the greater surrounding area. I appreciate his assistance when I need expert advice managing my rental property. I refer him often.
Morgan is truly one of a kind. His expertise and knowledge of the housing market helped us successfully buy our house seven years ago and then recently turn around and sell it for full asking price in less than a week! The process was easy because of Morgan; although the sellers had a hard time with banks and failed deadlines, Morgan was able to guide everyone, (often times helping the buyer’s agent), to closing in time for us to buy our new house in Indiana. If all realtors were like Morgan, buying and selling would be a pleasure-not a hassle.
You will not find a more knowledgeable, hard-working, and responsive agent anywhere. Morgan helped us find our perfect home and was able to guide us through the process with ease. When a competing offer came in alongside ours, Morgan knew exactly what to do to maximize the chances of getting our offer accepted. He was incredibly patient with us and answered all of our nervous first-time-homebuyer questions. We plan on staying put for quite a while but if we ever need to buy another home or sell ours, we will look no further. Highly recommended! A+
Morgan was a great real estate from start to finish and made the home buying process easy and enjoyable. He was patient and open and always provides his honest opinion on potential properties. He also understands the nuances of the home-buying experience — not only the value of real estate, but the challenges buyers face in coming to the very big decision of purchasing a property. He also goes above and beyond for his clients, as was my experience. If you want an excellent experience and great real estate agent, work with Morgan.
Morgan was just the person for the job! He helped my husband and I buy our first home. We knew nothing going into the process, but Morgan educated us along the way and helped us figure out what we really wanted and needed. He was incredibly organized and detail oriented, he remembered every request we had and ultimately found us a perfect first home. He impressed us even more as he navigated us through the buying process. We always felt like we were in the best hands — he’s a true professional and expert. I don’t think we could have secured the quality of home we did in this competitive market without his second to none skills.
Working with Morgan was the best experience we could have hoped for. From exceptional advice on what neighborhood to look in to detailed analysis of renovations and, most importantly, closing the deal, we had an exceptional experience. I would recommend Morgan to anyone.
In over 32 years of dealing with real estate agents he is by far and away the best. He knows real estate law, he knows the entire demographics of the Northern Maryland area, he senses immediately and in detail what the customer wants and he delivers what the customer wants in terms of price, location and ambiance. He is honest, he is a straight shooter and has the customers best interest all the time. He is the kind of man you would want to have as your next door neighbor. We were fortunate to have is services.
Morgan went above and beyond to find us a home. We were first time home buyers in a very competitive market, and I think it made all the difference to have a veteran like Morgan representing us. His expertise, persistence, and encouragement helped us land in the middle of a pretty sweet deal. Thanks Morgan!
We were lucky enough to have Morgan recommended to us by a friend. Now I cannot imagine working with anyone else. We were first time buyers when we met Morgan. He helped us to understand the houses we were seeing and helped us form an accurate assessment of our choices. Morgan never tried to ‘sell’ us on a property. In fact, he always made sure that we were not overlooking key factors. At times, Morgan seems to know everyone in DC real estate, but he has always treated us as if we were his top priority. I wish everyone we dealt with was as responsive. We bought and sold our first house with Morgan and just purchased our forever home with him as well. I recommend working with Morgan to all of our friends who want a smart and honest agent who (also with keen humor) appreciates the people and properties of DC and its surrounding areas.
Morgan Knull is a fine tuned machine of a realtor. Incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, affable and aggressive – his skills were invaluable to me in the recent sale of my DC condo. He’s worked with several close friends for years, and none of them would consider going to anyone else for the purchase or sale of a property in the DC metro area.
Morgan was a picture-perfect agent and advocate for me, a first-time home-buyer, start to finish. His excellent customer-service skills were evident from the start, and remained constant throughout my buying experience. As a single-family buyer, I had lots of difficult questions to answer by myself: what type of home I was looking for, in which neighborhood, at what price point, by when. Though I had external validators help out along the way, these decisions were for me to make, and Morgan provided me all the resources and information I needed to make an informed, empowered decision. He was meticulous about providing a comprehensive list of pros and cons for all the options I was considering; he was patient; and he was incredibly timely in his responses to my many, many questions. Wonderful sense of humor too. And that was just the front-end! After I put in an offer, I never doubted for a minute that Morgan had my back throughout the behind-the-scenes dealings: the paperwork, the negotiations, and the bureaucracy. He has top-notch knowledge of the law and was incredibly thorough and diplomatic with every aspect of my deal. Importantly, he explained what was happening and why it was happening. His communication style made me feel in control and up-to-date during the very short offer-to-close period (less than 30 days). I truly couldn’t have asked for a better agent. I am now the proud owner of a beautiful condo that is the perfect fit for me. An incredibly life-affirming decision, and I couldn’t have made a better one. Thanks Morgan!
Morgan was extremely helpful in finding my place. He is responsive to phone calls and emails. As a first time home buyer Morgan was a great resource in how the process works and was a valuable resource. I would highly recommend him as a real estate agent.
Morgan did a fabulous job for us. He works throughout DC, Northern VA, and Maryland–I believe he even works the Del beaches. He’s a fabulous agent and you can’t wrong engaging him to buy or sell your property. I’ve known Morgan since he was in college, and in the 16 or so years he’s been in real estate, I’ve gone to him a half dozen times to explore buying a new house in the close-in DC burbs. The last few years, as we’ve looked forward to down-sizing, he’s had us on a list serve for condos. Then the end of January we saw a “Coming Soon” sign on a house we fell in love with at the peak of the financial crisis but couldn’t afford. I called Morgan. The last time I sold and bought a house was in 1983, and the real estate business has changed. This is sellers’ mkt, and houses around here sell the first open house. Morgan got us into the house before it went on the mkt, and we had a contract in less than a week after seeing that sign. I doubt we’d have had such luck if we’d waited. When it came to selling our house, Morgan had to manage me. Back in 83, you put a house on the mkt at a reasonable price and sold it as is. Now, you have to put what strikes this geezer as a small fortune into painting, carpeting asbestos tile, power washing, landscaping, etc. I understood why, but my fingers still broke. Morgan patiently explained again and again until I got through my thick head. Before we put the house on the mkt, Morgan had notified other agents, and we showed the house twice ourselves, once to a nice family who bought, at above list price with a rent-free period before they took position. It was a fabulous offer, more than we expected. Through all of this, Morgan worked damned hard. He called us frequently to keep us abreast of what the mkt looked like, to answer all the questions we had about this and that, and to hold our hands when they needed holding. I have no idea when he sleeps, because he was always available. He also has excellent ancillary services. His team helped staged the house and gave guidance on landscaping and the like. He provided an excellent bldg inspector. And most useful of all to us as we contemplated what to do with 33 years of accumulated stuff (What? you ask. You wouldn’t believe), he had a guy who helped us get rid of stuff expeditiously at minimum cost and hassle. You can’t go wrong having Morgan buy or sell a home. He’s first rate.
Poor communicator and negotiator. Extremely arrogant and disrespectful. Had more complaints about his colleagues than answers to my needs. I requested Morgan’s assistance in purchasing a condo in the Washington, DC area. I’m very familiar with area and already completed my research of the WharfDC new construction condos. I’m moving from out of state and naturally had several questions for the builder after signing the purchase contract. All I received from Morgan were curt responses and complaints about the builder’s reps. Having tolerated his arrogant, disrespectful manner and ignorant comments about military personnel, I asked that he recuse himself. Not the service I expected for a $30K commission.
Extremely poor communicator and negotiator. Morgan listed my home on Capitol Hill, DC but I did all the work in selling it. Morgan wanted to de-list because he could not properly nor confidently negotiate with the buyer’s agent. In the end, I did “all” the negotiating while Morgan collected his undeserved commission. Fast forward a few years, I thought I would give him another chance. This time on the buy side. Because I am very familiar with this particular DC neighborhood, I already knew I wanted to purchase a new construction condominium. He simply needed to work with the builder to obtain answers to a few basic questions. Once again, his results were nothing more than him complaining about the builder’s representatives. I’m moving from out of state… I need answers, not complaints or curt responses. Morgan’s unsatisfactory service validates the pending disruption of the traditional real estate broker paradigm. For a $30K commission, the customer deserves more.
