My family immigrated from Korea to Anchorage, AK when I was 5 where that became my home for the next 15 years. I am very thankful to have grown up in one of the most beautiful states in our country.
I started in commercial property management in 1996. In 2001, I obtained my CA Real Estate Salesperson’s License and began my career in the mortgage origination/residential real estate industry in 2004. In 2006, I obtained my CA Broker License. Prior to stepping into mortgage origination and real estate sales, I was a title representative for a national title company for a couple of years.
I am passionate about providing homeowners the proper education and guidance to successfully sell or purchase a home. At the early stages of the real estate market correction in 2006, I focused heavily on helping homeowners avoid foreclosure with alternative options by providing a solution through short sales. My ability to think quickly during the short sale negotiation process for many years has only enhanced my skills tenfold to tactfully negotiate traditional real estate sales on behalf of my clients, whether a buyer or seller. Strong negotiating skills come with experience and knowledge which I am humbly proud and thankful for possessing this background in my real estate career.
In addition to real estate, I enjoy playing golf, hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family. My philosophy in life is a simple one. Laugh a lot and laugh hard and don’t forget to be grateful for each day God gives us.

I’m was born in the Philippines and came to the US when I was 12 years old in 1972. I went to Southwestern College and took business classes.
My background stem from accounting and office management. I started working with American Residential back in the late 80’s in the finance department. Then, I worked for Directors Acceptance as a commissions analyst working with Division, Regional, and Branch Managers Nationwide to managing commissions. Worked for major companies like Wells Fargo and Chase as commissions analyst, I’ve also worked in the Payroll, Human Resource, Finance, Accounting departments in all those years.
I decided to go into processing loans since I worked in the industry for over 15 years, then somehow, someone said, you should do Real Estate! Well, that’s where it started, I took Real Estate classes and passed the state exam and got my license 7 years ago. I enjoy what I do, I love being able to serve people and find the home that they are happy with and I’m honored that my clients can put their trust in me. I know that if you treat people well, with love, respect and integrity, God will give you favor towards them. I have gained a lot of friends through real estate, they’re not just buyers or sellers, they become my friends in the process and I praise the Lord just even for the opportunity that HE has given me.
My partner Tina and I worked really well together because there is integrity, trust and honestly and love in our relationship. I have her back and she has my back. And in order to serve our clients, we need to have that with the people you work with.
My other passions are my ministries that I’m involved with, The Rock Church which we have been there for over 13 years, was involved in many different ministries such as Children’s Ministry, Crown Ministry, Hospitality, Toys for Joy, Miles Ahead Ministry as well as other ministry with helping Convoy of Hope & Gawad Kalinga. We were also featured as Rock Hero for January of 2011. http://www.sdrock.com/stories/rockhero_guevaras/
In everything, I thank and praise God!
We are also heavily involved in missions. We are part of the IAOMAI Medical Ministry that is San Diego based, Christian humanitarian organization focused on improving the quality of life for children, families and communities worldwide through advanced healthcare. After immigrating to the U.S. from Korea when I was a child, my family made San Francisco Bay Area our home. I can still remember begrudgingly helping my parents in the small dry cleaner business they owned. I didn’t appreciate it at the time, but I look back now and realize it taught me a lot about perseverance, the value of money, and that hard work does pay off.
I carry with me the lessons from my childhood in my everyday life, whether it’s growing my faith in God, supporting my family, being a loyal to my friends, or dedicating myself to my profession.
I previously thought fulfillment in life came from my own accomplishments. Through the years I’ve learned that the greatest joy and happiness I feel are when I help others succeed and I can’t think of a more fulfilling job than helping my clients achieve their dreams of finding that perfect home.
I’m also a firm believer that if you love what you do, you will do it well and I love being a Realtor!
